Documentary Projects

Documentary photography is a passion of mine. I enjoy telling stories, especially those surrounding mental illness as it is a topic I have a strong personal connection to. I also believe that breaking the stigma surrounding mental illness is the most important to help people open up about their struggles.

In this project, I worked around the topic of hoarding. What does it mean to be a hoarder? Where do we draw the line between being messy and mentally ill? How is hoarding linked to things such as depression, anxiety, and other mental disorders? Are these the first warning signs for someone spiraling towards becoming a hoarder? The project aims to start a conversation around a disorder that is often very well hidden, a disorder that is surrounded by a lot of shame and guilt.

Teenage dream

A project showing the hidden life of teenage girls, growing up, women hood, friendship and fleeting relationships.

She and her plants

A project dedicated to women and their relationships with indoor plants—their bond, their shared experiences, and the belief that these plants have had a meaningful impact on their lives. The plants transform from decor into companions, something to care for, share with friends, and form emotional connections with.
